Camp Velenje is located just 1 kilometre from the town centre of Velenje in Slovenia. The campsite is situated on a meadow along the shores of Lake Velenje, which has been voted the best natural swimming area in Slovenia for four years in a row. The campsite offers a variety of activities and amenities for visitors, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. On-site, 100 spacious touring pitches with electric hook-up points are available. The campsite consists of open areas with grass, which means that the pitches are not demarcated; therefore, you can decide where you want to stay. There are also 33 new accommodation units available to hire.

There are various activities and amenities to keep everyone occupied whilst staying here, including plenty of water sports. Velenje Lake is popular with swimmers and windsurfers. There are also sailing boats that can be rented from the nearby sailing centre. The campsite also offers to peddle boats and stand-up paddle boards to hire. After all the water sport activities, you can enjoy a bite to eat at the on-site restaurant, which serves traditional Slovenian cuisine and international dishes. The campsite also offers a variety of other amenities, including a children's playground and a bicycle rental service, and activities are organised for children occasionally during the summer months.

Directions to Camp Velenje

From A1/E57 (Ljubljana-Cellje) exit 16 to Velenje. Via route 4 after 14.5 km in Velenje take the roundabout in the direction of Sostanj. Turn Right after 450m to Cesta Talev. Take a Left after railway crossing to Cesta Simona Blatnika. Campsite is located directly left after 1.8 km.
