An ideal stopover for those travelling the E4 coastal route and a good base from which to explore the area, this campsite is 6 km. from the centre of this university city. It is almost adjacent to the Nydalsjön lake, ideal for fishing, windsurfing, bathing and canoeing. There are 450 grassy pitches arranged in bays of 10-20 units, 320 with electricity (10/16A), and some are fully serviced.

This is a popular destination, with many returning guests in both the summer and winter. The campsite offers a wide range of fun activities during the summer, including workout sessions, a popular kids' club, evening entertainment, and the rental of bicycles and pedal cars. You can also play a round of mini golf or play a game of paddle tennis. The on-site bistro is the perfect place to enjoy a meal after a busy day of fun-filled activities. The menu includes international dishes; you can eat indoors or on the terrace when it's sunny.

Umeå city centre is approximately 7 km away from the campsite, where you’ll find a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. A couple of places that might be worth visiting are Algens Hus, Umedalen Sculpture Park, and Guitars Museum. Umeå is also a port for ferries to Vasa in Finland (4 hrs).

Directions to Camp Nydala-Umeå

A camping sign on the E4 at a set of traffic lights 5 km. north of the town directs you to the site. Signs also indicate Holmsund and Vassa.
