According to the owner, Mr Rusnák, this three-hectare campsite is one of the top ten sites in Slovakia and we agree. The site forms part of a restaurant and pension business and the good value restaurant is welcoming. The entrance is attractively landscaped with varieties of shrubs and colourful flowers and the whole site looks well cared for. There are 60 pitches for tourers, 29 with 10A electricity connections. On grassy fields with views of the mountains, there is some terracing. The main road runs steeply uphill and then continues on grass roads. This may cause larger units some difficulty in bad weather.

This is a good base from which to explore the Tatra Mountains or visit the Ice Caves. The site is popular with Dutch and Slovakian campers. The town of Levoca is well worth a visit, as is Bardejov, which is only an hour’s drive and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Good, partly refurbished toilet block (hot water variable) with British style toilets, open washbasins and controllable, hot showers (free). Restaurant, Campers’ kitchen. Sauna. Whirlpool. Bar/restaurant. Basic playground. WiFi in reception. Torch useful.

Location

From Liptovsky Mikulás, take the E50 road east towards Levoca. In Levoca follow site signs. Site is 3 km. north of the town.
