Situated ten miles from the sea in the Teifi valley, this could be a useful base for those interested in both coast and countryside. There are 110 pitches in two level, neatly cut grass fields, separated in places by a low hedge, with a tarred circular roadway. There are 95 pitches with 10A electrical hook-ups and 20 are on concrete hardstandings. Spacing is good and there are 15 acres of land for walking dogs and children’s play areas. However, the site has some 70 units in storage, ten mobile homes, and also 12 seasonal units, and can have a somewhat empty feel outside weekends and peak season.

The site is ideally situated in the heart of the Teifi Valley just two miles from the market town of Newcastle Emlyn. The West Wales coastline surprises first time visitors as it provides such a wide variety of features from clean sandy beaches, rugged cliff faces to secluded coves with rock pools and caves. The coastal footpaths are ideal for the casual walk or the adventurous hiker and offers spectacular views. Fun for the all the family can be found at Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and Blue Lagoon Water Park. The River Teifi offers premier game fishing for salmon, sea trout (sewin) and brown trout. Whether you are a complete novice or an international expert, the Teifi provides a diverse range of game fishing where you are able to spin, worm, float or fly fish.

Location

Afon Teifi Caravan Park is served by a clearly signposted private lane which is a turning off to right from the A484 Carmarthen to Newcastle Emlyn main road, which is 18 miles from Carmarthen and 2 miles from Newcastle Emlyn. Access to West Wales from the east is normally easiest by traveling on M4. Then take the A48 to Carmarthen to join the A484 through towards Cardigan (Aberteifi) and Newcastle Emlyn. Access from the north is by the A487 coast road down from Aberystwyth, turning left at Synod Inn, through Newcastle Emlyn, turning left on the the A484. Afon Teifi Caravan Park is found 3 miles towards Carmarthen, on the left just past the petrol service station at Pentrecagal.
