Alan Rogers Review
This small park is personally run by the owners. There are some narrow lanes to be negotiated to get here, but it is in a peaceful, rural setting. The 37 privately owned caravan holiday homes (plus two to rent) are hidden in the wooded slopes at the back of the park – a haven for wild flowers and squirrels. The open field for tents is sloping, but now has ten individual terraced pitches with dividing shrub hedges. A terraced lower level houses seasonal caravan pitches, and there is an area for tourers. With views across the valley, all have 16A electricity hook-ups and 23 have hardstanding, water and TV connections.
The owner’s pine chalet home, sited on the slope between the terraces and the wooded area houses reception, a tourist information room and the very basic sanitary facilities. The park is a haven of tranquillity, even when we visited in peak season. If you tire of the rural atmosphere, Tenby is only 18 miles away, with the seven-mile long Pendine Sands just six miles away, and to the north, the Preseli Mountains. Birdwatching opportunities abound. A member of the Countryside Discovery group.
Facilities
Toilet facilities also include a laundry room and facilities for dishwashing. Shop at reception (limited hours, Easter-end Oct). Children have an adventure play unit and a pets’ corner.
Location
From St Clears traffic lights, take road to Llanboidy forking right after 100 yds. Follow this road for almost 2 miles and turn right. After less than a mile turn right at small crossroads and park is on left.Campsite Google Map
