Camping Resort Riegersburg
Camping Resort Riegersburg is a campsite located in Riegersburg, Austria. It is between a bathing lake and the Riegersburg Castle, offering a unique vacation experience combining nature and history. Camping Resort Riegersburg is an excellent option for campers looking for a family-friendly campsite. On-site, there are 120 touring pitches with electrical hook-up points available, which are laid neatly on flat ground which are delimited by newly planted hedging. Established in 2024, the campsite has all the essential facilities for a comfortable stay. There’s a children's play area, a communal lounge with a kitchen area ( hobs and a fridge), seating, and a TV. Plenty of leisure activities are available at the recreational swimming lake, which is located just across the rose from the campsite.

Genusscamping Bad Gleichenberg
Genusscamping Bad Gleichenberg is a campsite in Bad Gleichenberg, Styria, Austria. Based on a working farm, Camping Olachgut is located in the Murau-Kreischberg region of Austria. At reception English is spoken and ample parking allows for an easy check-in. The site has two section seasonal residents pitches with mobile homes to rent, and 120 touring 60 with 16 amp hook-up , three have private sanitary facilities.
50plus Campingpark Fisching
This small site is unusual because it only accepts clients over 50 years of age. It is a high-quality site with an attractive setting in the Steiermark region, west of Graz. There are 50 large, level pitches (100-130 sq.m)equipped with 6A electricity, water, drainage, and cable TV connections. Most pitches are on hardstanding. Several chalets and holiday apartments are also available to rent. There is a small swimming lake which is surrounded by an attractive garden and sunbathing area. The site’s bar/snack bar is inviting, with a selection of homemade dishes on offer.
Camping Hirschegg
Located 900 meters above sea level, Camping Hirschegg can be found on the edge of the village of the same name in Western Styria. This small and straightforward campsite only has 60 pitches, 25 of which are dedicated to tourers, many with electrical hookups. The site is well maintained by the owners, with clean and tidy sanitary facilities. The nearby lake can be used for fishing and swimming in the summer and is used for ice skating in the winter (Ice skates and ice hockey sticks for rent at the campsite.) Foraging is encouraged, particularly in the autumn months when mushrooms and lingonberries can be found in the woods.
Camping Leibnitz
Near the Slovenian border, close to the small town of Leibnitz, this site is set in the rolling wine-growing countryside of southeast Austria. A small site with only 63 pitches, it is set in a lovely park area, close to an excellent swimming pool complex (some noise can be heard) which is available for campers’ use.
Kur Camping Grimmingsicht
Kur Camping Grimmingsicht is located in the enchanted landscape of the Ausseerland in the Styrian Salzkammergut. A site where Austrian hospitality is offered by the Dutch management. The site is quietly located, about 500 meters from the village, and has a beautiful panorama of various mountains such as the Grimming and the Avalanche Stone. The ground is natural grass. The campsite has 42 grass pitches, of which 31 are for touring units with electric hook-up point 16amp. There is also an apartment and a caravan available to hire.
Thermenland Camping Fürstenfeld
Fürstenfeld is the last village, before the border, on the main route from Graz to Hungary. This site, although small with basic facilities, makes a good staging post. It is quietly situated on the edge of the village next to a large, well-mown area with a playground, space for all types of ball games and a really huge open-air pool complex. The size of a football pitch, it has a shallow end for paddling, a larger part for swimming or pool games, an Olympic-size racing pool and a diving pool. The 53 touring pitches on the site are on terraces on either side of hard access roads, under a covering of trees and with 16A electricity in all areas.
Reisemobil Stellplatz Graz
Although not as well known as Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck, Graz in the southern province of Styria, is Austria’s second-largest city. This is a quiet site, which makes a good night stop when travelling between Klagenfurt and Vienna or as a base from which to explore the region. The site is regularly refurbished, is specifically for motorhomes and caravans and is situated in the southwest of the town in the Strassgang district, some 6 km. from the centre. The 157 level touring pitches are in regular rows either side of tarmac roads under a cover of tall trees. All have water and wastewater and 6A electricity. There is a bus every 15 minutes to the city centre.
Camping Im Thermenland
Camping Im Thermenland is tucked quietly away in the hills of eastern Steiermark, 45 km. southeast of Graz and close to the borders of Slovenia and Hungary. It is a modern, well-maintained site with 70 level touring pitches, with some hedge separation, all with 16A electricity, water and drainage. As the name suggests, the site is situated close to numerous spas and thermal baths including Bad Gleichenberg, which dates back to Roman times. Nearby Bairisch Kölldorf is a town of only 1,000 inhabitants; it does however boast a fire station that takes the form of the world’s largest fire engine!
Camping Bella Austria
Bella Austria caters predominantly for fixed tents and chalets, with 50 pitches for tourers. It is well located for exploring southwest Styria, the beautiful Mur valley, and the Niedere Tauern alps (highest point Greimberg 2,472 m). To the north, snow-capped Greimberg sits high above the site whilst in other directions you can see pine-clad slopes and Alpine pastures. Not too far away is the small ski resort of Turracher Hohe. Bella Austria is an ideal base for discovering traditional Austria by bicycle, on foot or in a horse-drawn carriage. The site also offers a unique range of workshops. The level, unmarked pitches all have access to 16A electricity, water and drainage. Some road noise is audible.
Camping Am Badesee
Set in a beautiful open alpine valley alongside an unspoilt rural lake in the southern part of the Steiermark region and on the slopes of Mount Zirbitz, this family-run site will provide you with a warm welcome and a relaxing holiday. The 60 good-sized pitches are well spaced on open grassy terraces, and with only about 25 long-stay units, mostly in a separate area, there is plenty of room for touring units. 50 of which have electricity hook-up points.

Steiermark

From the mountains in the north to the rolling vineyards in the south, Steiermark, or Styria, is a diverse and historic region with evidence of human dwellings dating back to the Bronze Age and beyond. Its vast forests are ideal for walking during summer, while in winter its 741km of pistes attract skiers from far and wide. 

The region's capital, Graz is a university town with no fewer than six higher learning institutes. As such it has a lively atmosphere and a human diversity that matches the assortment of traditional and modern architecture throughout the city. Popular visitor destinations include the Kunsthaus, a museum of contemporary art, and Schlossberg hill, the site of a fortress and excellent vantage point. As a chic cultural centre, Graz also has a wealth of shopping streets and trendy restaurants that make it ideal for a city break.

Southern Styria is a romantic region with undulating hills and mile upon mile of leafy vineyards. Famous for both its wine and its pumpkin oil, it's Styria's epicurean centre and visitors are sure to find a warm welcome and hearty cuisine here.
