Alan Rogers Review of Camping Browarny
Camping Browarny is a well-kept campsite located close to the ancient town of Sandomierz, with just a 10-minute stroll to the main market square. You can find 80 touring pitches laid out in an open plan system, which are mainly on grass with electric hook-up points available. On-site, you will find a well-equipped communal kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, kettle, fridge, freezer, and cooking utensils available for all guests. There is plenty for the children to enjoy whilst staying here as you will find a children's play area with trampoline and a games room with table tennis and football table. The outdoor swimming pool is available for an extra fee during the summer.
The town of Sandomierz perched on a hill near the river Vistula and has a huge amount of character. The centre has a main square with pastel-coloured baroque townhouses and an impressive 14th-century gothic red brick town hall, the oldest in Rynek. Lots of narrow cobbled lanes lead off from the main square. One of the main attractions is the underground tourist route, which is a guided tour through a 500 metre section of 34 historic cellars beneath the market square (the guides are locals and speak In Polish). The campsite is also close to the Vistula River, which is a popular spot for swimming, fishing, and boating. There are also hiking and biking trails in the area.
Due to the proximity to the town centre there have been reports of road noise.
