Many campsites set amongst pine trees have a rather untidy look, but Panorama is different. Here the entrance is inviting with well tended flower beds and a pleasant, airy reception. There is a steep climb up to the first of the touring pitches, passing the swimming pool and play area. Some pitches are suitable for caravans and motorhomes and others suitable for tents. The 350 touring pitches are on terraces amongst the tall pines and almost all have electricity (3-10A). The sea views from some pitches are stunning. Access to the toilet blocks may involve a steep climb (the site is probably not suitable for people with disabilities).

All potentially noisy activities – pool, play areas, shop, discos, concerts, bar and takeaway – are grouped on the entrance side of the dune, away from the pitches. A track leads down to the beach with a staircase and right next door is Europe’s largest dune, the Dune du Pyla, a favourite with parascenders. The area is a maze of off road cycle tracks. There are many activities and entertainments organised in high season, even classical concerts.

Seven toilet blocks (only two open in low season) are clean and well maintained with baby rooms and accessible facilities. Fridge hire. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Restaurant with panoramic view of the ocean. Three heated swimming pools and jacuzzi. 45 m. water slide. Adjacent play area. Tennis. Minigolf. Paragliding. Sub-aqua diving. Gym equipment. Bicycle hire. Organised entertainment in high season for all ages. Library and Internet access in reception. WiFi over site (charged). ATM.

From N250, just before La Teste, take D259 signed Biscarrosse and Dune du Pyla. At roundabout at end of road turn left (south) on D218 coast road signed Biscarrosse and Dune du Pyla. Site is 4 km. on right.
