Situated on a wooded hillside in the heart of the Périgord Noir, this pleasant site has been totally redeveloped. It is owned by M. Cedric Rocher (also the owner of the very popular Panorama de Pyla) and managed by Phillipe and Jocelyne who are committed to ensuring that your stay is a memorable one. The pool complex is impressive and incorporates a spa bath and a terraced lounging area. The nearby village of Saint Armand-de-Coly is listed as one of the most beautiful in France and is a must to visit. There are 165 pitches, with 50 for touring units (20 can access electricity). The remainder are occupied by chalets, mobile homes and bungalow tents, some of which are for hire.

Some of the touring pitches are at the bottom of the slope and access to the bar, restaurant, pool and other facilities may be difficult. Various activities are organised in high season, including canoe trips on the Dordogne and Vézère rivers – transport to these events calls at the site. Although the area is lit, a torch might be helpful in avoiding any trips on stray tree roots. This is a great area to explore by bicycle with miles of dedicated tracks (bicycle hire on site). Lascaux is an essential visit and the stunning mediaeval town of Sarlat is just 20 km. Fishing is possible in the nearby Coly river.

The two main toilet blocks were brightly decorated and very clean when we visited. Provision is adequate but may be stretched in high season. One block has a baby room, the other has accessible facilities. Laundry area. Fridge hire. Shop. Bar. Restaurant. Takeaway. Swimming pools with spa bath. Play area. Bicycle hire. Riding. Small library. Activity and entertainment programme. WiFi around bar area (free). Electric barbecues are permitted.

Directions to Yelloh! Village Lascaux Vacances

Leave the A89 (Bordeaux-Clermont-Ferrand) at exit 17 (Peyrignac) and head south on the D6089 as far as Le Lardin-St Lazare. Here, join the southbound D62 to Coly and then follow signs to St Amand-de-Coly. Site is well signed from here.
