This superb site is run by a very friendly family (English is spoken). It is on the outskirts of Autrans, high on a plateau (1,050 m) in the Vercors region close to a ski jump and short lift. There are 101 pitches with 43 for touring, all with electricity (6A). They are mainly on gently sloping grass, in a sunny location with fantastic views over the surrounding wooded mountains with small trees giving just a little shade. There is a new swimming pool area with two pools, one covered, a river and slide plus a separate paddling pool.
Here the days can be very hot and sunny and the nights quite chilly. This site is ideally situated for many of the activities that this wonderful area has to offer with magnificent scenery. The D531 and the D106 look a little daunting on the map and do involve a stiff climb but they are good roads and have no really difficult bends.
Facilities at Yelloh! Village Camping Les 4 Montagnes
The spotless toilet block is very well appointed, with underfloor heating and all the expected accessible facilities. Another chalet-style building houses a bar with terrace, snack bar/takeaway. Two pools, one covered, toboggan for children, sunbathing area and a separate paddling pool. New wellness facilities including sauna and jacuzzi (1/5-30/8). Small play area. TV room. Internet point and WiFi (free). Family entertainment (July/Aug).

Leave A48, northwest of Grenoble, exit 13 (going south) or 3A (north). Follow N532 to Sassenage, turn west at roundabout, D531 to Lans-en-Vercors. At roundabout turn right, D106 Autrans. At roundabout in Autrans turn right and very shortly right again. Site is on left.
