La Capricieuse is an excellent municipal site situated an the edge of the delightful small seaside town of Luc-sur-Mer. It is an ideal location for visiting the D-Day landing beaches and Le Mémorial (Peace Museum) at Caen. This immaculate site has 171 pitches with accommodation to hire. There are also 10 touring pitches with electricity available to book. Although the site does not have its own shop, bar or restaurant, these can be found within walking distance in Luc-sur-Mer.
The pitches are well laid out and divided into specific areas relating to the electrical supply and services. A security barrier to and from the site is controlled by a coded keypad operational between 8am and 10pm. The reception area is welcoming and has a good supply of brochures for local activities and places of interest. Beaches are a short walk from the site, either from the main entrance or from a footpath via a small gate to the rear. There are numerous sites of historical interest, including Sword beach and Juno beach. Arromanches, with its cliff top circular cinema and associated museums is approximately 30 km. away.

Three modern, heated toilet blocks with washbasins in cubicles and showers are kept very clean. Fully equipped accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome service point. Large TV room. Games room. Adventure playground (unfenced). Aquapark. Tennis. Boules. Multisports court. Free WiFi in TV room.

Take the D514 from Ouistreham car ferry and head west to Luc-sur-Mer. Campsite is well signed from the western end of St Luc.
