Alan Rogers Review of Yelloh! Village Camping Domaine Provençal
Previously known as Domaine des Grands Prés, Camping Domaine Provençal is situated alongside a footpath on the Jarbon, this small former municipal site has been transformed by the new owner, Armelle Godefroy-Colasse, since she took over in 2009. With private access to a footpath, it is just a few minutes from the centre of Dieulefit, yet the site is quiet and feels quite rural. Of the 83 open, flat pitches, 27 are for touring, with mature trees providing shade. Site and pitches have easy access for larger outfits. An area for the fascinating yurts, two tepees and various wood chalets with 57 to hire, has been kept to one side of the site, with tourers and tents taking up a central area closer to reception, the main toilet block and the pool.
Even more surprising is the Roulotte Village hidden by a high hedge, which has nine gypsy style caravans to rent and its own pool, sauna and jacuzzi – perfect for couples looking for a relaxing or romantic setting. This fits well with the slightly Bohemian town with its pottery shops and artisan workshops, as well as restaurants and bars. All are easily accessibly on foot, as is the supermarket. Dieulefit is ideally situated to explore the delights of the Drôme Provençale and see the fabulous fields of lavender around the area.
Facilities at Yelloh! Village Camping Domaine Provençal
Three modern, clean toilet blocks with accessible facilities. Two washing machines. Motorhome services. Two outside pools (15/6-15/9; one for Roulotte Village only). Sauna and jacuzzi (also for Roulotte village). Play area. Reading/games room. Yurts, tepees with own cooking and eating cabin, wood cabins and roulottes available to rent. WiFi (charged).

Leave A7 at exit 18 onto N7 towards Montélimar. Go right onto ring road and follow D540 towards La Batie Rolland. Stay on D540 and just before you reach Dieulefit turn right at camping signs.
