Woodclose is an established, nine-acre park situated in the Lune Valley, just one mile from the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. With two herds of alpaca and a pair of cashmere goats, this park offers a peaceful and secluded setting catering for walkers, tourers and people who just want to relax. The whole park has a very well cared for appearance with well mown grass, flowering tubs and neat hedges. There are 43 pitches in total, 26 with hardstanding and all with 16A electricity and digital TV hook-ups. Screened by a hedge and placed around the perimeter are several seasonal pitches with touring units being placed in the centre. In the camping area, ten ‘wigwam’ pods provide facilities for luxury camping, one with access for disabled visitors.
More seasonal pitches and holiday homes are on the lower part of the park, again most attractively terraced with stone walling and paths. Reception is part of the well stocked shop which includes local produce and fresh baked croissants. An information room/coffee shop adjoins with tables and chairs and internet access. There are two woodland walks, one particularly for campers with dogs.
Facilities
Two toilet blocks, the main one central to the touring area. Facilities are unisex in large, heated, individual rooms with washbasin and toilet or washbasin and shower, all well equipped and very clean. Well equipped laundry. The second block is in the lower part, again all unisex in cubicles. Accessible sanitary facilities. Motorhome service point. Shop. Small adventure play area. Bicycle hire. Large motorhomes accepted (limited space). WiFi throughout (charged).
