Leukermeer is a pleasant holiday park in the green surroundings of the Maasduinen, with Lakeside beaches. All 259 pitches have 10A electricity and TV connections, 225 also have fresh and wastewater connections. The pitches are grassy, level and relatively open, and are arranged in groups of six or eight in hedge and tree-lined enclosures. The site offers a wealth of water- and land-based sports facilities, as well as entertainment programmes and play areas for children. Consequently, it is an excellent site for families with children who are looking for an active holiday.

Although this is a rural site, there are many interesting towns close at hand, notably Arcen and Well. Arcen is located on the Maas river and is a popular tourist attraction. It is squeezed between Germany to the east and the Maas to the west. Historic buildings include the Schanstoren (Schans Tower) and a fine castle, as well as several ancient houses. Across the German border, pretty villages such as Kevelaer and Xanten, with its cathedral and fascinating archaeological park, merit a visit.

Directions to Vakantiepark Leukermeer

Site is 20 km. northwest of Venlo. Approaching from Nijmegen, take A73 and A77 towards Cologne. Take last exit before German border towards Nieuw Bergen/Gennep (N271). Then head towards Nieuw Bergen. Pass Nieuw Bergen and after 4.5 km. take exit to Leukermeer and follow signs to site.
