Tobacconist Farm Campsite is an adult-only site located on the eastern edge of Michinhampton village, Stroud, Gloucestershire. It is the ideal site to pitch up in the countryside and enjoy a cracking campfire. Dogs are welcome, and you're just a stroll from a lovely Cotswolds market town, with all the AONB at your fingertips. Stunning walks start on Michinhampton's protected rolling hills and green spaces. A pub is within a short walk too. From your tent or van door, you'll look out over luscious farmland, and you may even meet a few cows that peacefully roam close by. The site has 18 spacious grass pitches that can accommodate awnings, pup tents and gazebos at no extra cost. Every caravan, motorhome or campervan has its own electric and water supply, and optional electric is available for tents. Excellent facilities are nearby too. Picnic tables are dotted around the site. Please note that the campsite is 300m from the main gate down a single track, so early/late arrivals cannot be accommodated without 24 hours’ notice.

For days out you could try Stroud Farmers Market, walking the Cotswold Way, browsing the antique shops in Tetbury, as well as visiting the Corinium Museum in Cirencester, Rococo Gardens in Painswick, Gloucester Cathedral, Berkeley Castle and Woodchester Mansion. Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Westonbirt Arboretum and Cotswold Water Park are close by while the cultural centres of Bath, Bristol, Cirencester and Cheltenham are all within 40 minutes’ drive, as are the scenic Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Annual local events include Cheese Rolling, Woolsack Races, Gatcombe Horse Trials (within walking distance), Fairford International Air Tattoo, Cheltenham Literary Festival and the Five Valleys Meningitis Trust Walk.

The heated toilet block has showers, washbasins and toilets (including accessible toilets) Dish washing area. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Chemical toilet point. Charging points for mobile phones. Dogs welcome. Dog walking field. Picnic tables. Fire pits. BBQ's allowed. Fridge freezer. Please note that you are not able to charge electric cars on site. The Crown Inn is around a 5-10-minute walk away, and you will also find a golf club, butcher's and takeaway in the village.

Directions to Tobacconist Farm Campsite

Do not arrive by driving through Minchinhamton village (narrow roads). From Stroud on the A419 at Brimscombe bear right onto Brinscombe Hill. After Burleigh turn left onto Cirencester Road and at the Ragged Cot turn right again. At Hampton Fields turn sharp right ioto Woefuldane Bottom. The site is then on Tabacconist Road on your right just before you reach Minchinhamton village.
