Lawns and Lakes Camping and Caravanning is a peaceful and well-maintained 20-acre site among the lovely Lincolnshire countryside. A 10-minute walk from the village of Fleet Hargate and 20 minutes drive from Spalding. Site owners Nigel and Tracy have set the campsite up to make sure the local wildlife’s just as happy as the guests; there are trees and shrubs all around, along with wildflower meadows popular with woodpeckers, kingfishers and other birds. The two fishing lakes are stocked with carp, bream, tench, roach and rudd, and ducks often stop by, too.

For eats, you may like to set up a barbecue or wander to the village pub or farm shop. Treats are made closer to home at the site’s Sweet Delights Café, which serves hot drinks, homemade cakes and ice cream sundaes with a side order of entertainment on selected weekends. A bus stop service is available on-site through a call connect service or a short stroll to the village.

Visit Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens for the regular concerts, theatrical performances and craft sessions. Peckover House and Gardens. Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre 15 minutes’ drive to catch a falconry display. RSPB Frampton Marsh Nature Reserve for a touch of twitching.
