Colliford Tavern must be unique, quietly situated high on Bodmin Moor near Colliford Lake but hidden and protected by tall pines with a camping area and a tavern. The camping area is quiet and simple and has been kept very natural with short grass (helped by the rabbits) and sheltered from the moor by tall pines. The main field provides 40 fairly level pitches with 19 electric hook-ups (16A) and 6 hardstandings. Reception is in the tavern building. The tavern is run as a free house with a bar, dining room, a family room with outside terrace, garden, water wheel and a good, fenced play area with a Wendy House.

It is open to campers and caravanners and the general public. Ideally situated for Colliford Lake and the Moor, be it for walking, fly fishing (permits available) or birdwatching, the park is also suitable for excursions to both the north and south coasts. Discounted entrance is available to the adjacent Colliford Adventure Park.

Facilities at The Colliford Tavern Campsite

The pine-fitted, heated toilet block is fully equipped and includes a baby room and accessible WC (no shower). Service wash and tumble dry (Monday to Friday). Restaurant and bar. Play area. Some occasional family entertainment. Tickets for the Eden Project (20-30 minutes by car). Barbecues permitted with prior permission.

Approaching on the A30 travelling south, pass Jamaica Inn and site is signed a further 1-1.5 miles on the left. Follow for 0.5 miles and site is signed beside Colliford Lake Park.
