This excellent, busy TCS campsite is on the edge of Morges, a wine growing centre with a 13th-century castle on Lake Geneva about 8 km. west of Lausanne. Flowers, shrubs and trees adorn the site and the neat, tidy lawns make a most pleasant environment. There are 155 grass pitches for touring units, all with 6/10A electricity and laid out in a regular pattern from wide hard access roads on which cars stand. There are eight larger pitches for motorhomes with electricity, water and drainage. The friendly manager and receptionist speak good English, and will advise on local attractions.

Le Petit Bois is next to the municipal sports field complex with views across the lake to the mountains beyond. A fence separates the site from the lake with gates for access to the small wildlife sanctuary and the water. There may be some road and rail noise at times. A tent-like structure has electronic games in one half, the other being used for TV/video and socialising in wet weather. As well as being good for a long stay to explore this scenic and interesting region, le Petit Bois also makes a comfortable night stop on the banks of Lake Geneva.

Internet point and free WiFi. Children’s entertainment and bouncy castle (high season). Picnic and barbecue area. Fishing. Bicycle hire.
