Alan Rogers Review
A warm welcome awaits you at Strandcamping Groede which has all you need for the perfect family seaside holiday. Family run and located close to one of the cleanest sandy beaches in the Netherlands, it aims to cater for the individual needs of visitors with pitches available for all tastes. There are 870 pitches in total, 500 for tourers, the majority of these with electrical connections (4-10A). Sympathetic landscaping has taken the natural surroundings of the dunes and sand to create areas for larger groups, families and for those who prefer peace and quiet. The seaside feel continues in the layout of the comprehensive sports and play areas and in the brasserie and other main buildings.
The site is ideally sited for ferry stopovers (Breskens) and short stay visitors including hikers are very welcome, as well as long stay holiday makers. Access to the beach is good for wheelchairs and baby buggies and there is a lifeguard lookout tower and refreshments. A nature reserve is being constructed adjacent to the site. The site is run by the family van Damme, who work hard to ensure that the site offers the best possible service and provides you with an enjoyable stay.
Toilet facilities are excellent with a high standard of cleanliness, including some private cabins, baby baths, a family room and a dedicated unit for visitors with disabilities. Motorhome services. Gas supplies. Shop, restaurant and snack bar (all weekends only in low seasons). Recreation room. Trampoline. Bouncy castle. Sports area. Several play areas (bark base). Plenty of activities for children in peak season. Bicycle hire. Fishing. WiFi over site (free).
From Breskens take the coast road for 5 km. to site. Alternatively, the site is signed from Groede village on the more inland Breskens-Sluis road.Link to campsite location map on google
