South Meadows is set in the north Northumberland countryside, within walking distance of the village of Belford with its market cross and old coaching inn. The park is pleasantly landscaped and two short walks lead into the adjacent bluebell woods. Covering 40 acres of level grass, there are 87 hardstanding touring pitches, all with 16A electricity, water and TV aerial point. Help is available from a team who will position and level your caravan for you. A further area can accommodate about 50 tents. The manager is environmentally aware and encourages recycling. There is an area especially for disabled visitors with wider paths and safety features.
Just off the A1 road, this would be a convenient stopover but Northumberland is an undiscovered county with castles and stately homes, the Farne Islands, Holy Island and long golden beaches, and you would be made most welcome here for a longer stay. This attractive, well maintained park is already popular with couples and young families and booking is advised.

The fully tiled toilet block is excellent, heated in cool weather, with washbasins in cabins and roomy showers (free). Three family shower rooms. An additional prefabricated sanitary unit is open in one area for the summer months. Hairdryers. Full accessible facilities. Laundry with washing machines, dryers and iron plus a baby unit. Play area. Caravan storage and servicing. Free WiFi over site.
Location
Turn off A1 15 miles from Alnwick to Belford village and park is signed at the southern end.
