This campsite is located in the heart of the Périgord Poupre, in an area where rolling hillside vineyards give it a Tuscan air and where the Dordogne river winds gently through its sun-filled valley, with orchards and vineyards scattered along its banks. Monfaucon is between Bergerac and Saint Emilion. Set in ten hectares, most of it pine and oak forest, this is a peaceful site where you can relax in calm and tranquil surroundings. There are 80 mainly level pitches, 50 for touring, with some shade and terraced on a gentle slope. There are 23 mobile homes and an Aqua Lodge to rent. Electricity is 6A. A pleasant swimming pool with a slide and toboggan are set well away from the pitches.
A three-hectare lake is a delight for anglers where they will find carp, pike, roach and bream. It provides an ideal environment for children to try their hand at fishing. There are many good walking trails through the countryside. A good restaurant offers good food at reasonable prices and an entertainment programme includes evening dances and competitions. There are organised excursions to local vineyards. The town of Saint Foy La Grande is 10 km. where you will find supermarkets and a range of other shops.

One toilet block has showers and washbasins in cubicles. Accessible facilities, but not for children. Laundry. Bar. Restaurant (July/Aug). Takeaway. Swimming pool with slides and toboggan. Paddling pool. Fishing lake. Playground. Games room. Boules. Entertainment. Organised excursions. Bicycle hire. Barbecues are not permitted (communal ones around the site). WiFi over part of site (charged).
