Alan Rogers Review
Le Bois Dormant is on the outskirts of the pleasant, modern resort of Saint Jean-de-Monts with its shops, bars, restaurants and market, just 3 km. from the beach. The site no longer accepts tourers, but is well managed, with a full programme of activities (so it can be noisy, sometimes late at night). Parents of young children should be aware of a small lake on the site. The site has 500 pitches, most occupied by privately-owned mobile homes, but with a small number available to rent. Well kept hedges and mature trees give shade and privacy. This site can be expected to be very busy for most of the season, with many organised activities for children of all ages. There is plenty to do for teenagers here, including visits to Oceanile aqua park and Atlantic Toboggan.
Small shop. Bar/restaurant, also serves takeaway snacks. Large (200 sq.m) swimming pool, paddling pool, flume and water slides (no Bermuda style shorts). Games room. Play areas. Boules. Multisports pitch with running track and tennis courts. Only gas barbecues are permitted. WiFi (charged).
LocationSite is well signed from roundabout at southeast end of the St Jean-de-Monts bypass (CD38). Follow signs off the roundabout to Centre Ville and site is 500 m. on the left. Link to campsite location map on google
