This is a family-run park, which has a number of firm terraces with 60 pitches, which gives it an attractive layout – there is nothing regimented here. Perched on the edge of the bay in an elevated position, practically everyone has a view of the sea and a short walk along the shore footpath leads to a small sandy beach.

The park has tarmac and gravel access roads, with well-drained grass and hardstanding pitches, some with 10A electricity hook-ups. A few are on an area which is unfenced from the rocks (young children would need to be supervised here).

Reception, alongside the modern toilet block, contains a wealth of tourist information and maps. There are very good accessible facilities f on the park and at the restaurant, although the ramps leading to them are a little steep. This is probably the only caravan park in the world from where, depending on the season, you can see palm trees, Highland cattle and Great Northern divers from your pitch. Red throated divers have also been seen. Trips to Handa Island (a special protection area for seabird colonies) are available from here and Tarbet. The clear water makes this area ideal for diving.

Facilities at Scourie Caravan & Camping Park

The toilet facilities can be heated. Showers have no divider or seat. Accessible facilities, Laundry. Motorhome services. The Anchorage restaurant at the entrance to the park (used as reception at quiet times) serves meals at reasonable prices, cooked to order (seasonal). Boat launching. Fishing permits can be arranged.
