Ruda Holiday Park is a recent addition to Parkdean Holidays, now comprising 12 parks in Scotland, Wales and southwest England. Ruda is right beside a Blue Flag beach and provides 312 camping and touring pitches in two distinct areas. A large camping area divided into four sections is reserved for tents and small motorhomes, there are some electricity hook-ups around the perimeter and it is served by two clean toilet blocks. Touring caravan and motorhome pitches, all with 16A connections, are in a separate field across the road with direct access to the beach. Here, there are modern toilet facilities.

A central complex (well away from the camping fields) houses a supermarket, laundry, food outlets and all of the entertainment clubs and bars. The Cascade Tropical Pool, a fun pool with flume and water features is supervised at all times (children under five must wear arm bands which are provided free of charge). A large adventure play area, a tennis court and a sports field are also a short distance from the camping fields so that visitors are not disturbed. There’s plenty of walking on the sand dunes and around the park and Croyde Bay is renowned for surfing.

Facilities at Ruda Holiday Park

Two blocks in the camping fields provide all facilities, including accessible facilities. A modern building serves the touring field. Laundry. Bar, restaurant, snack bar and takeaway. Amusement arcade. Cascade Tropical pool. Adventure playground. Tennis court. Sports field. Fishing lake. Supermarket, boutique and hire centre. Surfing equipment for hire. Direct access to sheltered beach. WiFi. Dogs are not accepted.

Directions to Ruda Holiday Park

From Barnstaple, take A361 signed Braunton and Ilfracombe. At Braunton, take sharp left (narrow road) towards Croyde (signed) and follow the road to the beach. Entrance to Ruda is on the right.
