The approach to Riverside Meadows belies the fact that it is a rural park. The short approach from the main road passes houses and a factory, but once they are passed, the park opens up before you and you are once again back in the countryside. There are plenty of caravan holiday homes here but they are, on the whole, quite separate from the 20-25 touring pitches which are mixed amongst a number of seasonal pitches. These pitches, practically all with electrical hook-ups, are mainly on gently sloping grass with 10 hardstandings. A meadow separates the park from the River Ure, a favourite place for strolling and fishing (licences available).

Close to Ripon is the Lightwater Valley theme park, and a little further are Fountains Abbey, Harrogate, Knaresborough, the Yorkshire Dales and Thirsk with its market and the James Herriot centre. There is lots to see and do on and off the park for both families and couples.

The tiled toilet block is quite new and includes a baby room and a fully fitted accessible shower room. Laundry facilities. Shop. Bar. Games room. Well equipped play area. Fishing. WiFi throughout (charged). Max. 2 dogs per pitch, contact park first.

Directions to Riverside Meadows Country Caravan Park

At the most northern roundabout on the Ripon bypass (A61), turn onto the A6108 signed Ripon, Masham and Leyburn. Go straight on at mini-roundabout and park is signed on right.
