Ridge Farm is basically a level, grass field with 60 pitches (half of which have electricity). It provides a peaceful ‘back to nature’ retreat in the beautiful Purbeck countryside adjoining a farm. Large trees around the site offer some shade. With its close proximity to the River Frome, coastline and beaches, this is an ideal location for walking, cycling and particularly birdwatching with the Arne RSPB reserve next door. The neighbouring Ridge Wharf Yacht Centre provides the perfect opportunity for boat launching. Within a short drive you’ll find many interesting places to visit including Corfe Castle, Studland Bay and the Jurassic Coast. The Swanage railway goes from Corfe Castle to Swanage often with a steam engine. Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage are nearby for shopping and entertainment. Further afield is Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World and Thomas Hardy’s Cottage.

One basic and unheated toilet block with showers, wash basin in cubicles and WC's. Chemical toilet point. water points around site. Small launderette. Small shop for basics. No site lighting. Dogs are not accepted in July/Aug.

Directions to Ridge Farm Camping and Caravan Park

From roundabout on A351 turn, towards Stoborough 1 mile southeast of Wareham, into Corfe Road, then first right into New Road. At the crossroads with Arne Road, cross into Barnhill Road and follow signs to site marked 'no through road'.
