Set in the stunning scenery of Snowdonia and close to the historic town of Caernarfon, Rhyd Y Galen caravan and camping site is a great base for exploring everything North Wales has to offer. The site provides accommodation for caravans, motorhomes & tents in a peaceful quiet location. Grass pitches are available as well as hard standing pitches for motorhomes. Most of the 63 pitches are level, and there are a few level plots available near to the disabled toilet and shower facilities. Some of the pitches are seasonal. There is also a shepherd’s hut available to rent.

This is an area well known for its natural beauty and Rhyd Y Galen is the perfect base for visitors to enjoy exploring the stunning surroundings of the Snowdonia National Park. The Snowdon path is just 7 miles away, and there are plenty of other walking trails for every ability within easy access of the site. Access to Lôn Las, the national cycle route and footpath is just over a mile away. Enjoy a walk along part of the 870-mile Wales Coastal path which is just over a mile away.

Guest facilities include toilet and shower block. Disabled shower and toilet. Dishwashing area. Laundry. The toilet and shower block and disabled facilities are located at the bottom of park. The disabled facilities include a large shower with seat, toilet, and washbasin. Baby changing facility. Free Wi-Fi. Children’s play area. The park is served with 16-amp hooks ups. Chemical disposal point. Water and drainage are provided on each serviced pitch. Entrance barrier. Tesco, Morrisons, Spar and Asda 2 miles. There is a local bus service at the site entrance. Motorhome service point. Gas sales. TV reception good. Games room. Late-night arrivals area. Charge for pets and awnings.

Location

From the North Wales Expressway, leave at junction 10. Take the A4087 in the direction of Caernafon. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A487. At the next roundabout turn left onto Ffynnon Fair. At the next roundabout turn left onto B4366 and the site is on the right.
