Camping on the Waldsang is camping in the green heart of Friesland. Close to the site are numerous woodlands, dunes and moors, which makes it an ideal base for long walks and cycling tours. De Waldsang has 115 touring pitches (up to 100 sq.m) on separate fields from the static units. Pitching is on rectangular, level, grassy fields off gravel access lanes, partially shaded by mature trees. All pitches have 16A electricity, water, waste water and cable TV connection. Private sanitary facilities are available on 18 pitches. A canal runs alongside the site.

De Waldsang has a small animal farm to the front of the site, with a fishing pond directly behind it. Next to reception there is a snack bar and an open-air terrace. To the back of the site is a large, grassy field for football, volleyball and basketball. The site rents out canoes for trips on the water. Bakkeveen is close to the Frisian Lakes, the moors of Drenthe and the open pastures of Groningen, with the bustling city of Groningen within a half hour drive.

Directions to Recreatiecentrum De Waldsang

On A28 in either direction, take exit Beilen-Noord and continue on N31 towards Drachten. Take the exit Wijnjewoude/Bakkeveen after 35 km. and then follow the site signs.
