Set in pleasant undulating farmland in the heart of the Golden Valley, Poston Mill Park is a mile from the delightful village of Peterchurch. It is an ideal location for relaxation or exploring. There are currently 43 touring pitches set on level grass or hardstanding with mature trees around the perimeter. Thirty have 16A electricity, while 21 are fully serviced (TV leads for hire). An area is set aside for tents, some with electricity hook-up. An attractive walk runs along one side of the park, edging the River Dore (fishing available). Adjoining the park is a licensed restaurant (takeaways available) and a general store selling a range of produce and newspapers; when this is closed, basics can be purchased from reception.

There is a footpath from the park over the fields. Peterchurch village is only 1 mile and has two pubs, a bistro and a small supermarket, which doubles as the post office. Holiday cottages and caravan holiday homes are available to rent. The local bus service close to the site serves Brecon and Hay-on-Wye in one direction, and in the other direction, Hereford.
