Alan Rogers Review of Porth Beach Holiday Park
The park is just across the road from Porth Beach with its beautiful bay, sandy shoreline and rock pools. Situated in a small, rural valley with a gentle stream to one side you can enjoy the ducks and the wildlife. The 182 good sized grass pitches stretching up the valley in parallel lines accessed by tarmac roadways are level, marked by tram lines and back on to open fencing. Most have 16A electricity, there are also a few with hardstandings. A well equipped toilet block is to be found half way up, heated in cold weather and with air conditioning for warmer times.
There is a seasonal shop near the entrance, a pub across the road and a restaurant two doors up. Watergate Bay is just around the corner, and Newquay a couple of miles down the road, so if you are a surfer you will be in paradise. For walkers, Porth Headland and the South West Coastal path offer some outstanding views. Porth Beach is said to be the safest beach for swimming in the Newquay area. Altogether a super place for a family holiday.
