Port de Plaisance is in a beautifully green and quiet spot on the banks of the River Somme, a perfect stopover on your journey south or for a longer stay to explore the valley of the Somme. The site has 94 grassy, level pitches with electricity available and many leafy trees for shade and borders to some pitches. The facilities at Port de Plaisance are shared with visiting boat owners moored on the river or in the marina. The site has some cabins to rent but this is mainly a touring site and boat marina. There is a heated pool with a jacuzzi from June to September as well as a children's playground, games room with TV and table tennis. Bicycle and canoe hire are available on site. There is a grocery shop open from March to October who also host a book swap service.
This leafy site is perfectly placed to see some notable sites of the Somme including lakes, the museum of the Great War and the Remembrance Circuit, the cathedral and the floating gardens in Amiens, the Antoine Lécuyer Museum in Saint Quentin, Picardy and the Bay of the Somme.
