This is a rural site set in the beautiful wooded countryside of Southern Bavaria. Yet the site is only a short walk to the local town of Aitrach with its restaurants, supermarkets and shops.

The site is ideal for families or couples that like the outdoors and nature, particularly walking and cycling. This is a most attractive clean site with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is also a very good stop-over if you are travelling through Germany. Access is easy and sat nav can be relied upon.

There are 160 pitches, 35 with hook-up, 35 hardstanding and 15 tent pitches, so booking is advisable rather than just turning up, especially if you require hook-up and during the school holidays.

Activities for children include tennis and football camps and there is also a swimming pool and wading pool plus a lovely ( unfenced) stream going through the camp that children seemed to love. There is also a large play area in front of the restaurant and bar which are housed in a traditional chalet building, so you can enjoy a drink or a meal and keep an eye on the children playing. This building also houses a small shop and information centre and is the hub of the site.

Facilities

A well-maintained clean sanitary block with showers, baby change facilities and a laundry room with washers and dryers. Main Chalet building with outdoor and indoor seating housing restaurant, bar and small shop. Large swimming pool and children’s pool. Organised outdoor activities for children during the summer holidays. Supermarket and town nearby. Direct access to forest walks and cycle tracks. Easy access.

Location

Make for Aitrach which is just off route 96, leave 96 and join L 260 into Aitrach. Follow L 260 from the centre of Aitrach for half a mile then turn right into Espenweg follow this road for half a mile then turn left into Illerstrbe. The site is on your left in a third of a mile. (There is an alternative route through Aitrach but this route is more suitable for Caravans /Motorhomes.)
