A short walk from the southern shore of the Zeller See, this Alpine site is situated in the Zell am See-Kaprun Nature Reserve and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. There are just 55 level, grassy touring pitches (60-80 sq.m) with mature trees providing shade. All have electricity (16A), shared water and drainage, and cable TV and WiFi. In summer, the lakes, glaciers and mountains will provide endless opportunities for walkers, cyclists, climbers and motorists to enjoy the spectacular scenery, whilst in winter the ski slopes are within easy reach. The nearby villages of Bruck and Zell am See have shops, bars and restaurants.
In Zell am See you can ski on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier and bathe in Lake Zell on the same day, as the glacier is covered in snow ten months of the year. Swimming on a summer’s day in the warm water (23°C) of the lake in the middle of the Alps is a unique experience. Lake Zell also provides opportunities for fishing, sailing, kayaking, surfing, rafting and canyoning. Take the cable car to the summit of Mount Kitzsteinhorn and you can enjoy the ‘Gipfelwelt 3000’ exhibition, the beauty of Hohe Tauern Mountains and distant views of Austria’s highest summit, Mount Großglockner.
