Oxon Hall is a purpose-built park, well situated for visiting Shrewsbury. Under the same ownership as Stanmore Hall (UK4400) the site has been developed to a very high standard with mature trees and shrubs providing some shade and shelter. Of the 120 pitches 105 are in use for touring units, all of which have 16A electric hook-ups, 65 are full service pitches (fresh and waste water facilities, TV hook-up), the others being either grass or with hardstanding. An area is set aside as an adults only section. Some pitches for RV-style units have 32A electric hook-ups.

Some extra long hardstandings are provided for American motorhomes. Entry to the park is controlled by electronic barriers. Adjacent to the park is the Oxon ‘park and ride’ which makes a trip into Shrewsbury some 2 miles away very simple. The famous Ironbridge Gorge Museum and the mysteries of the Welsh Borders are all easy day trips from this excellent base. A member of the Best of British group.

Facilities at Oxon Hall Touring and Holiday Home Park

Toilet facilities here are first rate with washbasins in cubicles, ample showers, baby room, Accessible sanitary facilities, dishwashing room and laundry, all situated at the entrance in a centrally heated building, also housing reception and the shop (camping accessories and basic provisions) – perhaps a hike from some of the pitches. Motorhome services. Up to two dogs per pitch – dog walk on site. Deposit for toilet block key £5. WiFi throughout (charged).
