Situated on the edge of the very pretty village of Thornton-le-Dale, this most attractive, well cared for, adults only site has been developed on a disused railway station. The station building now provides holiday cottages and the caravan park toilet facilities. The site is level with 50 pitches (25 for touring units, the remainder used for seasonal units) arranged either side of a tarmac access road and backed by trees. All are on hardstanding and all have 16A electricity connections. Tents are not accepted. The owners will do all they can to assist you during your stay. A half mile, level walk brings you to the village.
This is very convenient for shops, pubs, tearooms and even a chocolate factory. There is a good bus service to Pickering, Malton, Whitby, York and Scarborough. The beck which runs through the village and down under the railway property is home to kingfishers, herons, ducks and trout. There are plenty of footpaths for walking in this lovely area. Many local attractions are within half an hour’s drive from the park. Dalby Forest is nearby with a visitor centre, walks and mountain bike trails.
