De Berckt is a friendly, family site in the southeast of the Netherlands. Much of the development of the site has been inspired by the medieval history of the region. Pitches here are grassy and of a good size. All have 10A electricity connections, water and drainage. Accommodation to rent here includes chalets and mobile homes, such as the Knight’s chalet and the Castle chalet. On-site amenities include an impressive tropical swimming pool complex with a Water Dragon slide and a lazy river. There is plenty of entertainment in peak season including children’s clubs and live music.

The Oostappen group have their own hot-air balloon and trips are available at very competitive rates. Nearby, the small town of Baarlo has no fewer than four castles, three of which date back to the 13th century. The site is located at an attractive point within the Meuse valley, and very close to the river. There are miles of excellent footpaths and cycle trails, and the site managers will be pleased to recommend routes.

Approaching from the east (Venlo) use N273 and pass Hout-Blerick. Continue to Baarlo and then follow signs to the site.
