This is very much a transit site or possibly one for a brief visit to the Croatian capital. This used to be the only campsite close to Zagreb and only basic facilities are available. Access is from one side of the A3 motorway via the Plivice Motel, which is right next to the motorway. There is constant road noise, but the site is far enough from the road to reduce this to acceptable levels. The 150 grass touring pitches are of average size and two-thirds have 16A electricity connections. The sanitary building is fairly old but acceptable. Despite its name, this site has nothing to do with the Plitvice Lakes National Park, which is roughly 150 km. south from here.

Facilities at Motel Plitvice-Autokamp

The motel is part of a service area and has a restaurant and bar, which can be used by campers. On the opposite side of the motorway (via a footbridge) is a fast food outlet with a small shop which can also be used. WiFi is available in the motel reception, which also acts as the campsite reception. Accessible facilities are available within the motel.

Do not use sat nav for this site! Motel Plitvice is southwest of Zagreb on A3 between the junctions with motorway 12 to Karlovac (E65) and with National Road 4 (E70) to Ljubljana, Slovenia. Access is only possible from one side of the motorway, in the direction west to east. Look for Plitvice Motel sign above motorway.
