Moss Wood is a well-established park in a secluded rural location near the village of Cockerham. You can be sure of a friendly welcome from the park wardens when you arrive. A sheltered field has 25 touring pitches on level hardstandings (steel pegs required) with 16A electricity. Most also have water and drainage.

Screened from the touring area by a high fence so that they are not visually intrusive are 175 privately owned holiday homes. A purpose-built log cabin houses reception and a shop which sells basic supplies. Although there are passing places, the approach road to the park is narrow, so care should be taken.

The quiet seclusion of Moss Wood makes it most suitable for couples and younger families. There is a large field for ball games and a fenced fishing lake. Central to the touring pitches is an adventure playground enabling parents to keep an eye on little ones.

The modern, centrally located sanitary block (key entry) is kept spotlessly clean and provides vanity-style washbasins and roomy, preset showers. Fully equipped accessible facilities. Undercover food preparation area, dishwashing and laundry facilities. Adventure playground. Large field for ball games. Fishing lake (fenced). Woodland dog walking. WiFi throughout (charged).

Park is 1 mile west of Cockerham on the A588. Leave M6 at exit 33 joining the A6 southbound and follow signs for Cockerham. A588 is 4 miles. Site is signed on the left.
