Landgoed Molecaten can be found amongst old beech and oak trees on the southern side of the fortified town of Hattem. This is a tranquil site with large pitches, surrounded by a variety of mature trees which provide plenty of privacy and shade, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. There are 130 hectares of woodland, flora and fauna here. Children can safely explore the woods – ideal for hide and seek. A pair of owls have been resident here for many years and are often seen at twilight. Rentable accommodation is a Boshuus, a specially designed chalet for four people, perfect for walkers and cyclists. Narrow access makes this site unsuitable for large units.

An indoor and outdoor swimming pool can be found within easy walking distance. A number of theme parks are also close at hand, notably Walibi Holland, Julianatoren and Ecodrome. The Harderwijk dolphinarium is also excellent. There are more than 1,600 km. of cycle and walking tracks (some guided tours are available). For golfers there is a 9-hole golf centre and a pitch and putt course nearby.

Directions to Molecaten Park Landgoed Molecaten

From the A50 motorway take exit 30 and follow signs towards Apeldoorn (Hattem/Hessenweg). Then follow directions to Hattem. Upon arrival here, continue ahead on to Hessenweg. Site is signed from here.
