Molecaten Park Hoogduin can be reached in less than two hours’ drive from Calais. The location of this site is imposing, and, as its name Hoogduin suggests, it can be found within high dunes. Just over the dunes, there is a broad sandy beach with a panoramic view over the site and the surrounding area. This beach is well known as one of the cleanest in the Netherlands, and slopes gently into the sea. Pitches are large and grassy, and are equipped with electricity (6-10A). They are divided by high trees and shrubs.

This is a very rural region, known as Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. It is an area which combines the maritime culture of Zeeland with the fine gourmet cuisine of Belgian Flanders. Zeeland is renowned for its mussels and, combined with Flemish chips, you have one of the country’s most popular meals. The superb medieval town of Bruges, once the chief trading town of the world, is only 20 km. away.

Directions to Molecaten Park Hoogduin

From the south take the E40 motorway (in Belgium) to Oostkamp take E403 to Brugge (Bruges) and Knokke-Heist. Follow this road into the Netherlands following directions to Cadzand. Continue on N674. At the T-junction (at the coast) turn right and you will find the site after 1 km.
