This large, high-quality holiday park lies on the outskirts of Groenlo in the Achterhoek, (Back Country) a region of the Netherlands rich in nature and history. The site is level with several separated, grassy camping fields surrounded by mature trees. There are about 200 touring pitches and a further 300 permanent holiday homes. Three main touring fields are serviced by modern, heated toilet blocks. In addition, 34 pitches have individual sanitary cabins. The site is pleasantly landscaped and, in spite of its size, does not give an impression of overcrowding.

With its many recreational facilities, the campsite is ideal for family holidays. Indoor activities include two large swimming pools, tennis and squash courts and play areas. Outside, there is a whole range of children’s activities, including activity programmes and treasure hunts. There is a pitch and put golf course and many cycle trails to follow.

Beyond the site, the ancient town of Arnhem is one of the area’s main attractions, with its historical centre, World War Two museum and many shops and restaurants.

Directions to Marveld Recreatie

From Arnhem take A12 to A18, towards Doetinchem. Continue on N18 to Groenlo. The site is 1.5 km. southeast of Groenlo, signed from the ring road.
