Alan Rogers Review
Looe Caravan and Motorhome Club site is the perfect family site with its heated open-air swimming pool (end May-mid Sep), tennis court, crazy golf and ball game area, there's more than enough to keep the family happy. The site is very clean, tidy and well maintained. In the nearby town of Looe, enjoy the numerous bars and restaurants such as The Coddy Shack, plus a local fish and chip shop. There are 217 pitches, 89 hardstanding, (some seasonal) all with 16 amp electricity, 10 fully serviced. A very organised site divided into two separate areas. Levelling blocks on most of the pitches are essential. Location is excellent for the surrounding area including the Eden Project, Looe and Polperro with a regular a bus service just outside the entrance. The railway station at Looe can take you further afield if you do not wish to drive. Arrival after 13:00 (would advise arriving a little later as reception at 13:00 can be very busy).
Take the children crabbing in the Hannafore Rock Pools. The town also hosts an annual music festival, held just a few minutes away from the site. For the walkers in the family, the site provides easy access to the beautiful Cornwall Coastal Path. The sheltered cove of Millendreath offers rock pools to explore and is a short walk from the site. Nearby, the largest indoor rainforest in the world, the Eden Project, is a fabulous day out for all ages. On-site is a well stocked shop, information centre and a modern children’s play area (please be aware 5 of the fully serviced pitches are opposite these facilities). There are no organised activities, but as Looe is only two miles away with easy access, entertainment should not be an issue. The nearest large supermarket is around seven miles away, although Looe has many convenience stores.

“ ”Location
Do not use Sat Nav as this will take you to Tregoad Camp via some very narrow lanes unsuitable for towing. Turn left off A38 (Plymouth - Liskeard) at the large roundabout at Trerulefoot onto the A374 (signposted Looe, Torpoint). In about 1 mile turn right onto A387 (signposted Looe). In 3.5 miles in Widegates (about 1 mile past Hessenford) continue onto the B3253 (signposted Looe). Do not fork right on the A387. The site is on the left in about 2 miles at the top of the hill (0.5 mile past Tregoad camp site).
