Lodging le Lac is at the northern end of the Etang de Lacanau (also known as Lake Moutchic), six km. from the Atlantic beaches and 40 km. from Bordeaux. There are 30 pitches reserved for tents and caravans, for which enquiries regarding availabilitymust be made by email and 25 units for hire, include upmarket tents on stilts and with a terrace plus various wooden huts and tree houses. There is a beach close by for swimming and all around the lake there is fishing , sailing and other sporting opportunities, whilst the much larger Lac d’Houtin, 20 km. north offers many more activities.
Facilities at Lodging le Lac
Modern sanitary facilities (summer 2014) with washing machine, dryer and iron. Bar, also serves breakfast (bread can be ordered). Communal barbecues. Sauna and solarium (charged). Shopping service. Table tennis. Boules. Children’s play area (on sand). Bicycle hire. Open air gym with modern equipment. Lake beach. WiFi at bar terrace (free).
Directions to Lodging le Lac
From Bordeaux, take N125/D6 west to Lacanau and continue on D6 towards Lacanau-Océan. Just before Lacanau at the roundabout take the first exit Lacanau Ocean/Carcans (D6 E4) for 7.4 km to the site on the right.
