Les Trois Cantons is a well established and very friendly, family run site with 99 pitches (76 for tourers) set among mature trees that give dappled shade. The pitches are of average size, reasonably level and all have electricity connections (6/16A). The main swimming pool is well separated from the children’s pool, with activities organised there in July and August. There are also walks, archery and boules, a visiting hypnotist plus wine tastings and a weekly dance. When the trees are bare early in the season, there could be a little road noise when the wind is in a certain direction.

In low season it is a site for nature lovers with peaceful evenings and nights and there are walks and mountain bike rides from the site. Wild boar and deer roam across the 15-hectare wooded part of the site. Orchids and other flowers are to be found in the woods. In high season the focus changes and it becomes a much more family orientated site with lots of organised activities for young children and a small farm area. The site owners organise weekly trips to the local markets. The Gorges de l’Aveyron have wonderful scenic towns and opportunities for watersports and rock climbing. The nearby ancient village of Saint Antonin-Noble-Val is worth visiting. A very informative handbook gives details of all the local services, places to visit, local markets and other useful information.

The two sanitary blocks include British and squat style WCs, showers, washbasins (some in cubicles) and Accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Basic shop (1/7-30/8; bread daily). Bar serving snacks and takeaways. Restaurant (1/7-30/8). Swimming pool (15/5-30/9) and paddling pool. Large covered climbing wall. Games area. Play area. Small farm enclosures. Tennis. Boules. English, Dutch and German spoken. WiFi. Torches useful.

Directions to Les Trois Cantons

From A20 or N20 at Caussade, take D926 signed Caylus and Septfonds. Site is signed to right 5 km. after Septfonds. Do not take the D5 towards St Antonin-Noble-Val as it involves 5 km. of narrow roads.
