Alan Rogers Review
This site is simply a large, level field screened by trees next to the Baltic Coast. There are 200 touring pitches, most with 16A electricity available. In the village of Vösu, there are shops, a bar and a bank (with cash machine). The restored manor house and park at Palmse are well worth a visit if only to see the Rolls Royce used by Khrushchev that broke down during a state visit to Estonia, during the Soviet occupation, and was too expensive to repair so it was left behind. The parks around the manor and the café, in the old bathhouse, are particularly worthy of a visit.
There is also a former Soviet Coastguards barracks at Kasmu, which is now a maritime museum. The National Park hosts an International Bagpipe Music Festival every two years.
Facilities
Small sanitary block has toilets and showers, which are basic but clean. Chemical toilet disposal point. Washing machine. Play area. WiFi. English spoken in reception.
Location
The village of Vösu is north of Palmse and off route 1 (Narva-Tallinn). Approaching Vösu you can turn left towards Kasmu in which case you turn right at next crossroads and site is 400 m. on the left. If you go on through the village and bear left near the beach car park, site is on the right. It is clearly signed.
