With a splendid water feature at the entrance, good tarmac access roads and well tended grounds, first impressions here are most rewarding. Set in 47 acres of pine forest, this park is continually seeking to improve and develop the service it offers. The majority is occupied by 300 privately owned holiday homes, all proudly maintained, with the touring section in a separate 15-acre field, but furthest from the leisure areas and activities. Although rather open, a programme of landscaping is intended to impart more character to this area. There are 150 level hardstanding ‘super’ pitches, fully serviced and with 16A electricity. A number of dog friendly pitches are available. Tents are not accepted. Midges can be a problem at certain times of the year, so repellent is advised!

The heated indoor ‘Tropicana’ complex with pool, jacuzzi and sauna is an outstanding facility and well worth the small charge. The pool is well maintained and supervised at all times. An impressive new development with family cabaret room and stylish bar is the Waterfront Club, providing a varied entertainment programme all season. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The original heated toilet facilities have been augmented by another newer block so the provision should be adequate. Launderettes. Motorhome service facilities. Licensed shop (from April). Bar and restaurant (closed Sunday). Takeaway (1/5-30/9). Indoor Tropicana complex (charged). Play areas. Amusement arcade. Games room. 7-acre fishing lake. Tennis. 9-hole golf course (£5/day). Gas available. Caravan storage. Max. two dogs accepted.
