Arranged on a series of spacious, grassy meadows, each surrounded by attractive trees, La Bailloterie is a long-established Guernsey campsite run by friendly and welcoming owners. It is a very peaceful setting down a narrow, rural lane but is just minutes from the shops and services of the Vale and the beach. There is always plenty of room for around 100 tents or motorhomes, and 20 electricity connections are available (16A). Choose your pitch. Also provided are hire tents and simple log cabins to rent.

The site’s amenities are in a large, converted granite barn with sanitary facilities on the ground floor and reception, a simple shop and a lounge with a relaxing balcony where you can enjoy a coffee overlooking the play area. The campsite can arrange a permit to bring your caravan or motorhome onto the island.

The barn provides a social centre for the site too, as meals and snacks are served here and barbecues are arranged twice weekly in season. With a good supermarket just three minutes walk away, the site shop is not large, but pre-ordered baguettes, etc. can be delivered to your pitch by bike each morning. A footpath to the nearest beach at Pembroke Bay (10 minutes) and a bus service is in Vale for access to most places of interest on the island.

Directions to La Bailloterie Camping

From the harbour drive up to the main roundabout and take the third exit heading along the seafront. Go over mini-roundabout. At next filter in turn, bear left for Pembroke Bay. At third set of traffic lights turn right, then first left. Site is signed straight ahead.
