This small, very Italian, family-run site, just north of Pescara and south of Pineto, is situated between the coastal railway line and a superb sandy beach. Inevitably there is some railway noise. About 60 small pitches area available for touring units (cars parked away from pitches), all have 6A electricity and are shaded by trees which you will need to watch out for when manoeuvring. It is quieter than the larger sites that are usually found on this coast. During June to August, it is very much an Italian family site with entertainment and all sorts of fun and games on the beach. Nearby Pineto is a pleasant, small, seaside town with a small market, good restaurants and cafés and all essential shops.

With a backdrop of the Gran Sasso d’Italia with its high, snow-capped peaks and with good communication links via autoroutes, it is a popular tourist area in high season. In low season, the weather is dry, warm and inviting and the excellent sandy beaches are almost deserted. There are ten mobile homes to rent.

Facilities

One sanitary block provides ample toilets (British and squat style) washbasins and hot showers (token). Children’s bathrooms and baby changing room. Good accessible facilities. Shop (1/5-15/9). Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Direct beach access. Play area. Boules. Entertainment for all (high season). Excursions organised. Mobile homes to rent. WiFi. Dogs are not accepted 1/6-30/9.

Location

On the SS16 at 431.2 km. marker just past the Cerrano Tower, take the turn marked camping and pass under the railway (4 m. bridge). Then turn immediately right to site.
