Alan Rogers Review of Internacional de Palamós
This is a large, uncomplicated, comfortable site which is clean, welcoming and useful for exploring the local area from a peaceful base. Traditional in style, it is open for a long season and has a range of facilities. It might have space when others are full and has over 453 moderate sized pitches, 355 for touring. The majority are level and terraced with some less defined under pine trees on a gentle slope. Two hundred and eighteen have access to electricity (6A) and 104 have water and drainage. The sanitary facilities are excellent. The pretty beach at La Fosca is a 300 m. walk.
The site has a large swimming pool, plus children’s pool, with attractive palms. It has a grass sunbathing area and its own modest white-washed bar/terrace in season. A small section of the site is used by a tour operator. La Fosca beach is a typical Costa Brava cove with clear water, a gently shelving sandy beach and small beachside restaurants and bars. a rocky footpath connects the beaches and wooded headlands. The large town and port of Palamos is one kilometre away.
Facilities at Internacional de Palamós
Two refurbished toilet blocks and one smart new one are fully equipped with some washbasins in cabins. Accessible facilities. Laundry room. Small shop. Bar and snack bar serving simple food and takeaways (all season). Swimming pool (36x16 m) with paddling pool (8/6-15/9). Small play area. Car wash. ATM. Bicycle hire. Torches necessary. WiFi over site (charged).
