Under the management of Hotel Belvedere, this site has developed into a massive leisure complex of which camping is a small part. It may be suitable for a short stay but is not recommended for a beach holiday. There are 280 pitches, with 200 for touring units. All have 6A electricity, but pitching is haphazard and that may make it difficult to find a place in high season. The site is divided into five different areas, divided by a narrow public road which has to be crossed to reach the toilet facilities (watch out for local drivers).

Two fields are dedicated to static and seasonal units, the other three are for tourers. From the furthest area there are some sea views. A restaurant is close to the holiday bungalow complex, but we can also recommend the Italian trattoria, just 150 m. down the road, for a good value meal and beautiful, countryside views from its terrace. Access to the beach is a 800 m. walk down the steep road.

Facilities at Hotel-Camping Belvedere

Two identical toilet blocks provide modern fittings but cleaning is under pressure in high season. Accessible sanitary facilities, Very comprehensive leisure facilities, including a huge swimming pool (3/6-2/9), restaurant, night club (can be very noisy late into the night) and hotel. Kiosk for basics (25/6-1/9). Beach shop. Torch useful. WiFi in restaurant and pool area.

Directions to Hotel-Camping Belvedere

Follow the main A2 coast road west just beyond the Izola bypass; the site is clearly signed but the exit is on a rather confusing summit road junction (the original entrance and exit have been closed so access is not easy).
